René Liebert

… (born 1980) has finished his study at the Institute for Applied Theatre Studies at the Justus-Liebig-University in Giessen in december 2008. In 2005/06 he absolved an "International Master in Documentary Film" in Barcelona, Spain.

He is mainly focusing on video- and light application in theatre- and multimedia artworks as well as short film projects. This includes an interactive approach to this medias. He realized video & light designs in theatre productions (e.g. ATW Giessen, Mousonturm Frankfurt, Körber-Studio Hamburg, K3 Tanzplan Hamburg, ZKM Karlsruhe), audiovisual installations ("Sana'a - City of Light" in Jemen; "Cold Lights" during Luminale'08) as well as short film projects or camera and editing works.
